Content Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2025

DropMyNote is built for students to share genuine academic study notes. This policy defines what content is allowed, what is prohibited, and how violations are handled. All users — uploaders and viewers alike — must comply with this policy.

1. What Is Allowed

  • Original study notes — handwritten or typed notes you created yourself for any academic subject, course, or exam.
  • Summarised textbook content — your own summaries, outlines, and condensed explanations of course material (not verbatim textbook pages).
  • Past exam papers with solutions — publicly available past question papers that are distributed by institutions.
  • Practice worksheets and solved problems — original or fair-use academic exercises with worked solutions.
  • Reference guides and formula sheets — original compilations of formulas, vocabulary, or key concepts for study purposes.

2. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

Copyright Infringement

  • Scanned or photographed pages from copyrighted textbooks or publications.
  • Notes copied verbatim from published authors without permission.
  • Re-uploading notes originally published by another DropMyNote creator without their consent.

Harmful or Illegal Content

  • Content promoting violence, hate speech, discrimination, or extremism.
  • Sexually explicit or adult content of any kind.
  • Content that defames, harasses, or threatens individuals.
  • Malicious files, embedded links to phishing sites, or any form of malware.

Misleading or Low-Quality Content

  • Notes with deliberately false or misleading academic information.
  • Blank, mostly blank, or placeholder PDF files.
  • Spam uploads intended solely to game the view-counting system.

Examination Integrity

  • Leaked or stolen exam papers that have not been officially released.
  • Content that facilitates academic dishonesty in a current, live examination.

3. Password-Protected Notes

Creators may password-protect their notes. Password-protected notes are still subject to this Content Policy. Protection does not exempt a note from review or removal if a violation is reported.

4. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it by emailing blankspaceofficial2000@gmail.com with:

  • The title or URL of the note
  • A brief description of why it violates this policy
  • Any relevant evidence (screenshots, links)

We review all reports within 48 hours. False or malicious reports may result in action against the reporting account.

5. Enforcement

When a violation is confirmed, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Remove the offending note immediately
  • Issue a warning to the uploader via the notification system
  • Temporarily suspend the uploader's ability to publish new notes
  • Permanently terminate the account for repeated or severe violations
  • Withhold or reverse earnings associated with violating notes
  • Refer the matter to relevant legal authorities where required by law

6. Appeals

If you believe your note was removed in error, you may appeal by emailing blankspaceofficial2000@gmail.com within 14 days of the removal notice. Include your account email, the note title, and a clear explanation of why you believe the removal was a mistake. Appeals are reviewed by our team and a final decision is communicated within 7 business days.

7. Platform Integrity

We rely on the community to maintain quality. Creators who consistently upload high-quality, original notes help every student on the platform. We reserve the right to demote, restrict, or remove content that, while not explicitly prohibited, degrades the overall quality of the platform.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Content Policy as the platform evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of DropMyNote after updates means you accept the revised policy.
